How much recording time should I expect from a HD on DVR-3014?

 

The following applies to DVR-3014 series. All times are in hours.

 

The recording time on a hard drive is closely related to the following settings:

*         Recording frequency – ranges from 1 to 60 F/S (frames per second). 1 frame = 2 fields.

*         Picture quality – Best (60KB), High (50KB), Standard (40KB), or Basic (32KB).

*         Audio – Off or On. If On, Sample Rate is 8 kHz.

If Audio On, the recording time would be shorter. No audio function at the refresh rate in NTSC: 30 frame/sec ~ 15 frame/sec, 1/8 frame/sec ~ 1/16 frame/sec.
