How do I retrieve the video recorded on a hard drive?

  1. Use SD card. All models come with SD port. This is the easiest way to retrieve data from the recording. The data can be up to 90 seconds on a 16-channel DVR or 300 frames on a 4-channel.
  2. Use CD-RW if your unit is model-D. The data saved can be up to 10 minutes.
  3. If you need to save more than 10 minutes of the data on model-D, or more than 90 seconds on other models, there are two options available:
    1. Use an adapter (ADP-6005) to connect the HD to a PC through USB port. With HDD Viewer, you can view and save the data into a .avi file.
    2. Connect a VCR in-between the DVR unit and monitor. Record video onto a tape while playing it on the DVR.
